Meet Blazer! Blazer is an 3 month old male Domestic Short Hair kitten.
Blazer was brought in with his littermates after his mom had an accidental litter. His folks did not want to grow a cat colony, so they brought the kittens to us. Having once been part of a group of 5, Blazer is the last of his siblings to get out of the shelter. Thankfully, we do have some other kittens he can play with, but we can tell Blazer is getting tired of sitting in a kennel. We would love if Blazer could get into the type of home he deserves soon!
When Blazer first arrived at the shelter, he was pretty scared. Having been born to a feral mother, it took Blazer some time to feel safe around humans. Now that he’s gotten to know us, he’s your typical playful kitten. He loves to chase toys and snuggle, and would make a great addition to your household.
With Blazer having been timid when he first came o us, he likely will need some extra time at get used to his new home. He will need careful supervision when he is adopted and can't be allowed to roam outside until he adjusts, as he will likely not come back. Even inside the home, be prepared for him to hide until he gets used to you. Blazer has not lived with dogs or small kids before. He has met some kids at the shelter and did well with them, but he can get overwhelmed if they can’t respect his space. He may feel overwhelmed around animals or children that are going to get in his face before he has a chance to get used to them. Again, patience will be the key to winning this boy's heart!
