The Humane Society of the High Plains hosts multiple fundraising events throughout the year and can always use extra help when it comes to planning and hosting these events.
Volunteers and Community Service Workers are welcome any time that we are open. They assist with cleaning, bathing and brushing animals, walking dogs and socializing animals.
Doggy Day Out is a short-term foster program where volunteers can take a shelter dog on a day outing. Whether its a long walk at a local park, a visit to pet friendly business in town or a quick trip to your favorite coffee shop for a pup cup. Doggy Day Outs help shelter dogs manage kennel stress, burn off excess energy and get more exposure to potential adopters.
