** Nuke's adoption fee has been discounted by a generous donor! **
Meet Nuke! This handsome boy just crashed into the shelter and is looking for his new forever home! Nuke is a 5 year old, neutered male, Domestic Shorthair cat, and is ready to meet his new family.
Nuke was surrendered to us because a kid in his previous home developed allergies. He came to us alongside another cat who has since been adopted, and is now waiting for his turn. Now, Nuke is feeling pretty nervous at suddenly finding himself at the shelter. This place is scary for any animal, and since he was with his previous family his whole life, it's taking Nuke some extra time to feel totally comfortable. When you meet Nuke, he just asks that you take your time and give him the chance to get to know you first.
As mentioned, Nuke lived with another cat in his previous home and they got along well. Nuke did live with a kid too, and while he would sometimes let the kid pet him, Nuke tended to avoid the little one. With Nuke being so nervous, we strongly recommend a meet and greet with any children prior to adoption. He will likely not do well in a home where children are grabbing at him or won't give him space. Nuke has never lived around dogs before, so we recommend a meet and greet with any canines in the home as well.
Nuke is litter box trained and has received his first round of vaccinations. He is also microchipped, which can be transferred to his new owner's info after adoption. Nuke is ready to go, and is just waiting for his family to come find him! If you think Nuke could be the cat for you, stop by and meet him today!
