Meet Ace!
Ace is an approximately 2 year old neutered Husky/Lab mix. He’s a very sweet boy that came to us through some unfortunate circumstances, and we’re hoping to turn his lucky around!
Ace was brought to the shelter alongside another dog, Cheyenne (who has her own listing on our website!). The pair’s previous owner passed away, and a remaining family member could not take the dogs. Thankfully the city where they resided were able to work out a deal so they had a place to stay temporarily, but it was not a good fit long-term. Now, they’re hoping to find a forever home this time around where they can be kept safe and snug!
We never got the opportunity to speak with Ace’s previous family, but a close family friend did tell us a little bit about his history. Ace has been house trained but will probably need a refresher on training as it has been quite awhile since he has had a set potty schedule. He also does wonderful with children even babies. Ace has also lived with cats and small animals previously and did well. Ace's bestie is Cheyenne and they can usually be found side by side out in the yard. We recommend a meet and greet with any pets or children in the home prior to adoption to make sure it’s the right fit.
The police officer that brought us Ace said he’d had a bit of time to get to know Ace, and let us know he can sometimes be skittish around new people. He’s been very sweet to us at the shelter, but this place is a stressful environment, and it can be overwhelming for newcomers. Please be patient with Ace and give him the opportunity to show you his real personality!
