Meet CJ! CJ is a four year old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix with a heart of gold. This sweet girlie is absolutely precious. She is a bit on the timid side, but once she gets to know you, she is all exuberance and love! CJ is here through no fault of her own when her original owner rehomed her due to life circumstances; and then she was found as a stray shortly afterward, and her newly acquired owner never came to claim her. Prior to this, CJ had been with her person for her whole life, which means that coming to the shelter, along with all the life changes leading up to that, has been a very big transition for her. While CJ may be a bit out of her element right now, she is eagerly looking forward to starting the next journey of her life! This little gem is good with all other dogs. She can be a tad dominant, which owners should be mindful of, but she does get along well after the initial pecking order is established. She also likes cats, and she adores children. She should not be adopted into a home with chickens though, as she does have a history of proving incompatible with them. CJ is housebroken, though she does have occasional accidents. Adopters should be prepared to do a brush up with her on her training in this area. CJ also does great with recall, once she knows and trusts her people.
