Meet Pierre, our Pyrenees!
Pierre is a 1 year old male Great Pyrenees. After being found as a stray and sadly never claimed by his owner, we are hoping he can find his happy ending very soon!
Despite his fancy name, Pierre is actually a very laid back guy. He's always happiest with a buddy to hang with, and isn't too picky about what life brings. Even in a stressful place like the shelter, Pierre has been so sweet to everyone he meets and has quickly stolen out hearts!
Since Pierre was a stray, we don't know much about his past. He did great with our office cats when introduced to them, and hasn't seemed to mind the dogs that have passed by his kennel. We have yet to do any full introductions with other canines or kids, though. As always, we recommend a meet and greet with any potential siblings to make sure he'd be the right fit.
Pierre is a little underweight, and will need to be put on a healthy diet to get him back in tip-top shape. Great Pyrenees are big dogs, and love to eat a lot, so keep in mind how expensive caring for this boy will be! Great Pyrenees also need plenty of space, and aren't happy to be cooped up in a little apartment all day. Pierre loves to run in our backyard, and will need a home where he can continue to stretch out.
