Meet Guinea! This special girl is getting ready to find a forever home!
We know with her size, Guinea looks like she's just a baby. Surprisingly, though, she is already 10 weeks old! She is a member of our Rodent litter, but something has prevented her from growing at the same rate as her siblings. She's been thoroughly checked out by a veterinarian and they could find no reason for this, and said that she otherwise appeared to be a normal and healthy kitten. They advised us to wait until she's gained another pound before putting her up for adoption, though, just to make sure there's no underlying condition that is causing her problems. While she waits for her turn, we have all fallen in love with this sweet girl! Guinea loves attention, and constantly screams demanding we let her out of her kennel for play time. She's been introduced to our office cats and our manager's dog and gets along well with them. It is important to keep in mind, though, that with her being so small it is easy for her to accidentally get hurt. We always make sure to supervise when she's playing with other animals so we can separate them if play time gets too rough. If she has any siblings in her future home, it will be important to make sure they aren't getting too rambunctious.
With Guinea's medical history and being so small for her age, she will not be a good outdoor cat. She's too small to defend herself an could easily be hurt. Due to this, we will only be adopting her to a family that intends to keep her strictly indoors.
We're all rooting for Guinea and anxiously waiting for it to finally be her turn to find a forever home! If you think you could be interested in Guinea, contact us for more info, or keep an eye on our website for any updates!
