Meet Ashtyn, the shy and gentle Brussels Griffon!
Ashtyn is a 3 year old, female, Brussels Griffon. She came to us through no fault of her own when her owner's health issues made him unable to care for all of his dogs.
She's a sweet girl, but of course the stressful environment of the shelter makes it hard for her to open up. Her previous owner said that having another dog around really helps this girl come out of her shell, so a canine buddy is recommended. Ashtyn has spent her whole life around other small dog and gets along great with them, but has never been around any large dogs. She's also been around cats and chickens and gets along with them, but she loves to chase ducks. Ashtyn has never been around kids before, and we strongly recommend a meet and greet with any children in the home prior to adoption.
Ashtyn is going to need an owner that can work with her on obedience training. She is not housebroken, and does not know any commands yet. With some patience and dedication, though, she shouldn't give you too much trouble!
Ashtyn has received her first round of vaccinations and is ready to find her forever home! This breed is fairly rare to find in a shelter, so don't miss your opportunity to meet this sweet girl!
