Meet Bandit!
Bandit is a handsome 2 year old German shorthaired Pointer/cattle dog mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for adventure! This sweet boy was originally found as a stray and was taken in by a caring family who helped nurse him back to health. When he first arrived, Bandit was underweight but with some TLC, he's now at a healthy weight and feeling great! Because of his rough start, Bandit can be a little protective of his food around other dog, so we recommend feeding separately if you have multiple pups.
Bandit enjoys the company of other dogs and does well with some cats, though we always suggest a meet and greet to ensure its the perfect match. He absolutely loves kids and has an affectionate, playful personality that shines through once he's comfortable. As a true working breed mix, Bandit is active and energetic. He'd love a home where he can run, explore, and be apart of your adventures! He previously lived on a farm, and while he enjoyed the space, his herding instincts led him to chase after cattle (just for fun, not harm!), so if you're looking to bring him to a home with livestock be prepared to do some training! Bandit knows his basics like "sit" and "leave it" and with his eagerness to please, he'll thrive with continued training and structure.
