Get ready for a dash of magic, and meet our very own Bella Swan! Bella is a 1 year old spayed Poodle/Coonhound mix. We know what she is, but she wants you to "Say it. Out loud." The goodest girl! Bella is a romantic at heart, and is hoping a forever home will come rescue her soon!
Bella might look familiar to you. She actually first arrived at the shelter last November, and was sent to Colby Vet Tech to help train their students. Now, she's back at the shelter to find her happy ever after! By coincidence, her brother, Winston, who was also here in November found his way back to us recently as well, so the two are reunited! They quickly were reintroduced, and now love to spend their time chasing each other in the back yard. We aren't requiring that the two of them be adopted out together, but if you are interested in both, there is a discount when taking home two pets at the same time!
Like her namesake, our Bella Swan can be a bit of an introvert. It sometimes takes her a moment to warm up, but she quickly falls in love! Once you get to know her, Bella is full of energy, and she would love to be in a home that likes to stay active. Bella has never really been around cats before, so we aren't sure how she interacts with them. She gets along with some dogs, but can be picky. We recommend a meet and greet with any pets in the home prior to adoption. Bella has been around kids and loves them, but she has a tendency to jump, and could knock littles over.
Bella's not a fan of long car rides, and prefers to stick to scenic strolls and local explorations until she gets more comfortable. But be warned: if she gets the chance to escape, she might just follow her nose and explore the great outdoors! In Bella's first home before coming to the shelter in November she was kept as an outdoor dog, and she definitely loves to explore. She hasn't received much training, and isn't fully housebroken, nor does she know commands. Her future owner will need to work with her to get her fully trained.
