Meet Biscuit! Biscuit is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. He's obviously handsome, but he's also super sweet! We're hoping his forever family will come to get him soon.

Biscuit was initially found as a stray and never claimed. Luckily, there was someone to take care of him until there was space at the shelter. Since his previous owner found him as a stray, we unfortunately don't know much about Biscuit's past. Biscuit did meet some other big dogs in his previous home, and he was pretty nervous at first, Given time, though, he warmed up and did very well with them. He has not been around cats to our knowledge. We also don't know if he's been around kids in the past, but here at the shelter, he does not seem to be a fan. When kids walk past his kennel, he gets very nervous and growls. Due to this, we don't believe he would be a good fit for a home with children.

Biscuit is taking some time to warm up to us here. He's never been mean or aggressive to us, but we can tell he's a little shy and doesn't like being grabbed at. Given time, he should open up more and show us his true self! Just please be patient with him, and understand you'll have to give him the opportunity to trust you.

Anyone who's been around these breeds knows that they are famous for their high energy levels! Biscuit is no exception, and will need a home with the time and space to dedicate to him. He's not quite a year old, so he's still in his puppy stage. Be prepared to work with him to make sure he stays happy and healthy. While his previous owner worked on some training, Biscuit is not fully there yet. He isn't housebroken, and still has accidents inside. From what we can tell, he doesn't seem to know any command yet. He also needs work on his leash training, as he tends to pull hard. With some work, he will shape up to be a well-behaved dog, but understand that it will take time to get him to that point.

Biscuit really is a sweet boy, and just needs to find a home where he can thrive! If you think Biscuit could be the dog for you, stop by and meet him today!
