Although he gets along with one dog at the shelter and he’s yet to meet any cats, so we'll need to set up a meet-and-greet with all dogs and cats in the home prior to adoption to see if they're a match made in heaven.
Be aware due to his past, he could leave a traumatizing sign. And while he's been sweet as can be with people around his food, we're not sure how he'll react with other animals - so we'll need to keep an eye on that. As we do not see these signs at the shelter at this time with his past, it’s good to keep in mind the possibility that he could have territorial integrity around food when other animals are around. Also, due to his high food drive when receiving treats, he may accidentally nip your fingers because of out-of-excitement.
Mushroom's had a rough past, but with patience, love, and a good routine, he'll be housebroken in no time. He's still working on it, but with an active family who can keep up with his energy, he'll thrive. Whether that's with another dog to play with, kids to keep up with, or just a family who loves to go on walks and play in the yard, Mushroom's ready to rave about his new life!
