Meet Duke, the cutest boy around!
Duke is a 2 year old Lab/Shepherd mix. He's pretty much what you would expect of those breeds, and is intelligent, active, and super loving!
Duke was surrendered through no fault of his own when his owner no longer had the time or space to care for him. We know that his perfect match is out there waiting, though, and Duke can't wait to meet them! While some dogs can be nervous their first time at the shelter, Duke has not had that problem. He immediately warmed up to us, and it wasn't long before he was showing us his goofy side. Duke loves to chase us around the yard, and can be a little naughty sometimes by refusing to come in! He's still at a young enough age that he needs plenty of activity to stay healthy, so he needs an owner that's willing to keep him moving.
Being a mix of two intelligent breeds, Duke knows his stuff already! He is housetrained, and knows multiple commands. He's been around plenty of other animals and kids before and did well with them in his previous home - however, we have not tested him with any here at the shelter. It's always a good idea to bring the whole family out, including pets, to meet Duke to make sure he's the right fit!
