Meet Itty Bitty! He is a 9 month old neutered Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. Itty Bitty and his brother, Tyson, came to us as transfers from another animal shelter in Kansas.
Itty Bitty is the shyer of the pair. He quickly warms up, but he prefers that you go slow at first. Once you give him the chance to know you, you will find a loyal and sweet little boy. Itty Bitty isn't out of the puppy stage yet, so he still has plenty of that playful energy to keep you entertained. He isn't fully housebroken yet, so his adopter will need to be willing to work with him on this. After you give him some time, you'd be hard pressed to find a better companion.
Itty Bitty has been around other dogs and did well with them all. We have not yet seen how he is around cats or kids, though. He's never shown aggression here, even when nervous, but we always recommend a meet and greet with pets or children in the home prior to adoption. With him being shy, he likely won't like to be grabbed at until he has the chance to get used to his new home.
