Meet Kazoo! This active and playful pup is a nine month old neuter Pointer/Lab mix. He's a very fun-loving pup, and is ready to find a new home!
Kazoo came to us after sadly being dumped in the countryside, and thankfully some kind souls found him and kept him safe until he could be brought to the shelter. Because of this, we unfortunately don't know much about his past. What is very clear is that Kazoo must have had some rough experiences during his short life. He was very nervous when he first came here, and didn't want us to mess with him. It took a couple of days for Kazoo to get comfortable, but once he got to know us, it was like he turned into a whole new dog! Kazoo is now a very active pup, who loves to chase us around the backyard. He's still young, and is a mix of two active breeds, so he will need an owner that likes to be on-the-go and can include Kazoo in those adventures!
We aren't yet sure how Kazoo is around other animals or kids. Here, he seems interested in the dogs that have passed him, but we haven't introduced him to anyone yet. We have not seen him with cats or kids at all. We recommend a meet and greet with all pets or children in the home prior to adoption. With him being timid with new people, he should be supervised around any kids until he has the chance to settle in.
Kazoo is not yet trained, and will need an owner that will work with him. The good news is, he is still young, and is a very smart guy, so he shouldn't give you too much trouble! As previously mentioned, Kazoo will also need an active household. He's not the kind of dog that will be happy bored at home all day, and would love a family that can keep him going.
