OOPS! Yung Gravy has somehow found himself in the shelter!
Meet our very own Yung Gravy! This looker is a 2 year old male German Shepherd mix. He's everything you would expect - energetic, friendly, and ready to go! Yung Gravy is hoping that his perfect owner will come rescue him soon.
Yung Gravy was found as a stray, and unfortunately never claimed by him owners. This means that we don't know much about his history. Yung Gravy doesn't let it get him down, though, and has a very "c'est la vie" way of looking at life. Here, he's been pretty easygoing, and is content as long as he's getting plenty of love and treats!
When Yung Gravy was first found wandering, his finders kept him for a few days trying to locate the owner themselves. They had another dog at their house, and while they said Yung Gravy wasn't aggressive, he definitely preferred having the sole attention of the people around him. Due to this, we strongly recommend a meet and greet with any dog prior to adoption, and Yung Gravy may just be best as the only canine in the home. He has not been around cats or kids before to our knowledge, so we recommend meet and greets with them as well. His finders did let us know that he can be protective of his food, so any pets or kids in the home should be supervised around him until you are 100% comfortable.
Even though we don't know where Yung Gravy came from, it does seem that he's had some training. Here, he's been a perfect Mr. Clean, never making a mess in his kennel. He also does respond to some basic commands. He's still young, and is an intelligent breed, so he shouldn't give you too much trouble if you did want to train him further. Now, Yung Gravy is a pretty active dog. He's not going to be the type of pooch that is content to sit at home, but will need an owner that can get him plenty of exercise to stay happy and healthy.
