Meet Seraphina, the Fiery Husky!
This 4 year old female husky mix is a force to be reckoned with! Seraphina is a free spirit who loves the great outdoors and would rather stay outside all day, no matter if it's sun, rain, or snow. She's an active and playful girl who'll keep you on your toes. Seraphina's spark is that she loves to "sing" and serenade her favorite people with her signature howls. She will also give you a talking to if she doesn't get her way and tell you how it is with that signature husky attitude.
Seraphina was initially found as a stray up by Beloit, and was unfortunately never claimed by her owners. A family did take care of her for a few days, but she was not a good fit for their home and they couldn't keep her for long. A very important thing to note about Seraphina is that she can not go to a home with any cats or small animals. During her brief stay with her finders, Seraphina was known to wander around the neighborhood and unfortunately caught some cats. Due to this, we will not adopt her out to homes that have small pets. It will also be a requirement that her owner has a fenced in yard, as she cannot be allowed to roam and get ahold of other people's animals. Her finders also let us know that she can be very possessive of her food and toys around other canines, and it started to cause issues with their dogs. We are requiring a meet and greet with any dogs in the home to make sure it is a good fit. We have not seen how Seraphina is with children, either. Here, she's been really sweet with all of the people she's met, and we don't think she's have a problem with kids. It is important to note, though, that since she has a history of resource guarding, any children will need to be supervised to make sure they aren't trying to take food from her.
Even though Seraphina isn't always a fan of other animals, she is incredibly sweet with people. Here, she has made her personality known. As previously mentioned, Seraphina is your typical husky. She's the perfect mix of sassy and sweet, and has plenty of energy to keep you entertained. It seems Seraphina has received some training, as she does a great job of keeping her kennel clean. She's never had an accident, and she's not been the kind of dog to rip up blankets either. It also seems like she's been taught to sit on command, but she's also very stubborn and will only listen when she feels like it. Seraphina would benefit from an owner with husky experience that will know best how to handle her.
