Meet our gorgeous girl, Holly!
Holly is a one year old Shepherd/Border collie mix. She was found as a stray out in the country. A kind soul took care of her for a couple of days hoping to locate an owner, but when nobody came forward they brought Holly to us to find a forever home.
Despite this sad beginning of the tale, Holly doesn't let it get her down! Holly is an energetic, playful, and loving pup. She's still young enough to have a puppy personality, and as such she's going to need an owner that has the free time to dedicate to her. We aren't sure what level of training she has received. She does a good job of keeping her kennel clean, but still has occasional accidents. With that being said, we have learned that Holly is going to need a lot of patience and training if you wish to crate train her. She cannot be placed in a crate right away while you go to work. She will freak out and become destructive. She is a mix of two high-energy breeds, and as such will need plenty of exercise to stay happy and healthy!
We have noticed that Holly is pretty submissive when it comes to other dogs. She has started to show signs of food aggression with dogs as well. We strongly recommend a meet and greet with any dogs in the home, just to make sure it is a good match. We also have not yet seen how Holly reacts to cats or children, so we recommend a meet and greet with the whole family.
