I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Willow

We're happy to tell you that Willow has a new furever home.

Meet Willow! Willow is a beautiful 3 year old Labrador Retriever mix who is looking for a forever home! This gentle girl can be a bit timid when you first meet her, but if you give her a moment she will soon be all over you!

Willow was surrendered to us alongside another dog, Rocky, who is also available for adoption! Due to unfortunate circumstances, their owner could no longer care for them and made the heartbreaking decision to let them find new homes. In her previous home, Willow was mainly kept as an outdoor dog. She is not housebroken yet, and her future owner will need to work with her on this.

As previously mentioned, Willow lived with another dog in her previous home and did great with him. She also has made a buddy here at the shelter. We have noticed, however, that Willow is dominant with other dogs and can be very picky about what dogs she gets along with. We are requiring meet and greets with any dogs in the home prior to adoption to make sure it is a good fit. We also know that, due to having a high prey drive, Willow is not good with cats or small animals. She will not be adopted out to any homes with small pets. Willow will also need a secure yard with a fence, as she can't be allowed to roam and risk getting ahold of anyone's cats.

Willow LOVES car rides and is a car enthusiast! She enjoys spending time with the whole family, including kids who are older and can respect her space. Willow has never been around kids under 6 years old, so we aren't sure how she would be around really little children. When she first meets new people she can sometimes be timid, so small children should be supervised until Willow gets used to them. Once Willow is comfortable around you, though, she does love to jump, so again, supervision will be key to make sure she isn't accidentally knocking littles over!

If you are willing to have some patience and let Willow grow into the dog we know she can be, then don't hesitate! She has received her first round of vaccinations and is ready to go to her new home!
