The year's first litter is going up for adoption - meet our Little Women!
Mid-February, a pregnant stray showed up at the shelter. She was super sweet, and we knew she was waiting to give birth until she had a safe place to stay. Shortly after taking her in, Katerina gave birth to 4 gorgeous kittens. Surprisingly, they were all females, and we quickly fell in love with the bunch.
If you've ever read Little Women, you know Amy is the princess of the bunch. Our Amy is no different! Amy likes all eyes to be on her, and will perform little goofy tricks to get your attention. She's very playful and active, and enjoys roughhousing with her siblings. Whenever a new toy is introduced to the litter, Amy is the first to check it out and make sure she gets prime play time.
Having been born at the shelter, these kittens have spent their whole lives around people. They're all used to being handled, and other than the occasional scratch (after all, they're still learning their own strength!) they have had no issues with us. These four are also already mastering the art of using the litterbox, and will soon be pros. Since they are not available to the public just yet, we have not seen how they interact with dogs or kids. They're all sweet, and still young enough, that they should be able to adjust fairly easily.
