I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Chloa

I'm Available

**Chloa is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club. This means she has been at the shelter for over 30 days and her adoption fee is not discounted. Stop by to meet Chloa and give her a second chance at a forever home!**

Meet Chloa, our spit-fire senior! Chloa is a ten year old spayed female Domestic Shorthair cat. She's not very happy at finding herself in the shelter, so we're hoping her future owner is going to rescue her soon!

Chloa was surrendered to us through no fault of her own. Her previous owner left her with some family members, and they felt that Chloa deserved a home that could give her more attention. Chloa is still taking her time getting fully comfortable at the shelter. This is a loud, stressful place, and it's typical for older animals to take more time than most to acclimate. Chloa is starting to open up and show us her sweet side, but it will take a lot of patience to get her to fully trust you. Chloa is definitely not the kind of cat the falls in love at the first meeting, and needs strangers to go slow so she has a chance to get to know you. If you are interested in Chloa, it might be best that you come out and visit her more than once prior to adopting, so she has the chance to get used to you before being moved to a new home. Once you've proven yourself trustworthy, Chloa will be a loyal best friend!

Chloa has been around other animals before and did okay with them, but as she ages, she's grown to really like her personal space. Although we aren't requiring it, Chloa would prefer to be the only pet. If you are thinking to add her to an already-existing herd, we would strongly recommend a meet and greet with any pets first. We do know, though, that Chloa isn't the biggest fan of children. She's not gonna like any that are going to get in her face or not respect her boundaries. Please keep in mind that, as with humans, aging comes with all new aches and pains, so Chloa might not have a lot of patience.

It's typical for seniors to sit in the shelter longer, but we're hoping it won't be true for Chloa. When you adopt a senior, not only are you rescuing a pet from sitting in a kennel all day, but you are giving them the gift of comfortable golden years. Cats can live 15+ years with the proper care, so Chloa can still provide you with plenty of love. She's also already housebroken, and she's been around the block a few times, so you won't have to train her like you would a younger pet. If you're someone that likes peace of your own, and doesn't mind some quiet afternoons, then consider Chloa to be your new family member!

Chloa would love to not have to sit here for too long. If you think you can provide the type of home best for Chloa, stop by and meet her today!
