Meet Delia, our gorgeous calico kitten!
Delia is a 10 week old female Domestic Shorthair kitten. Despite her young age, Delia is definitely an old soul! She's not as active and crazy as our other kittens, and tends to observe from the sidelines. Delia is usually content to snuggle up in your arms and let them other kittens get their energy out.
Delia was found by a good Samaritan outside of his workplace, and he immediately brought her to us for safekeeping. It seems like she was likely born outdoors, as she wasn't quite sure how to react to us at first. Delia was never aggressive or mean, but we could tell she was pretty scared and preferred to hide. Quickly, though, she started to trust us and has become very loving! It just takes a bit of extra time to show her that you are a safe space.
Since Delia was a stray we aren't sure if she's ben around animals before. We introduced her to one of our other kittens, but he was a very playful guy and Delia seemed a little overwhelmed. After a bit, she just preferred to hide and let her new friend play on his own. With time, she likely would do just fine with another cat. We have not seen her around any dogs, and with her being more timid, she likely won't do well around dogs that are too rambunctious. We also haven't seen her around kids, but again, any energetic kids will likely be too stressful.
Delia has received her first round of vaccinations and is litter box trained. She is now ready for a forever home where she can truly settle in! If you think you and Delia could be a perfect match, stop by and meet her today!
