Meet Dewey! He is a 2 year old neutered male Domestic Long Hair cat. This boy is a gentle soul, and is waiting for a family where he can truly show them his heart!
Dewey came to us from some pretty rough circumstances. He was seized from an animal hoarding case, and had to spend a couple of months being boarded with the vet until be could be put up for adoption. Now that the court case has been resolved, he is ready to find a new home where he can be loved like he deserves!
Now, right off the bat we could tell that Dewey is a very special cat. Within minutes of arriving at the shelter we noticed he was in desperate need of a bath.While most cats don’t react well to bath time, Dewey was so gentle and understanding. Towards the end he started to get annoyed, but it was surprising to see how patient he could be even with all the fuss! Since then, Dewey has stayed so loving. He can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but he is still a very affectionate feline.
During his stay at the vet Dewey was housed with another cat, and did very well with her. We have yet to see, though, how he is around dogs or children. We always recommend a meet and greet with any potential siblings in the home so you can be sure Dewey is the right cat for you.
