I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Ella

We're happy to tell you that Ella has a new furever home.

Meet Ella!  Ella is a one year old Domestic Short Hair who is beautiful inside and out!  This sweet girlie came to us through no fault of her own really.  As she matured from kittenhood into adulthood, Ella became less playful and a bit more aloof, and she would no longer actively seek out or participate in social situations with the children in the home.  Ella was never any trouble -never aggressive or acting out in any way.  But her owner viewed the more reserved and grown up version of Ella to be the very definition of a cat with a "behavior problem."  And now poor Ella finds herself in our shelter, hoping to start over with someone who more clearly sees the beauty and the charm in her.  As stated, if you want a cat with an outgoing, attention seeking, puppydog personality, Ella is not the gal for you.  But in all respects, Ella is a perfectly average cat who simply prefers some solitude every now and then and some good ole' long cat naps as opposed to running through the house and batting at toys.  In our opinion, if anything this makes Ella a much easier, and less needy kitty for the lucky adopter!  A great addition for seniors or for folks who are too busy to constantly tend to an animal with an insatiable need for interaction and attention.  Those who know how valuable (and sometimes rare!) an independent, quiet, yet affectionate personality is will absolutely fall in love with this doll.  Ella truly is precious, and she definitely deserves a family who recognizes that and treasures her for who she is.

Ella has been around kids.  While she never did poorly with them, she doesn't love the volume and the chaos.  We aren't requiring a child free home, though we do believe Ella may be happiest in a home without any children, or at the very least, with ones who are old enough to be respectful of her boundaries and wishes.  A low traffic, calm environment would be the ideal situation for Ella.  She does like other cats, so she may pair well with another one in the home, as long as it was not a super dominant or overwhelming type of personality.  She would prefer a home without dogs, if she could choose, though she has lived with them before and did reasonably well.  She just doesn't vibe well with exuberant and energetic dogs, but has proven to do well with older, less active pups.

Ella had been given her first round of vaccinations and is now officially up for adoption.  If interested in this sweetheart, stop by the shelter to meet her and see if it's a match made in heaven!  Or feel free to give us a call with any questions/for further information.
