I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Gracie

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

**Gracie is temporarily unavailable as she waits for her spay surgery. She is scheduled to go to the vet 4/08, and as long as she recovers well she should go up for adoption the following day. She is still available to play with at this time.**

Meet Gracie! Gracie is a  female Domestic Shorthair cat, and we believe she is about 8 years old. After some sad circumstances led her to the shelter, she is looking for a family to love her again!

Precious Gracie came to us through no fault of her own after her previous owner passed away and no family members could keep her. Gracie is a very sweet girl, but obviously finding herself at the shelter is a big adjustment. It frightens her if you just grab at her right off the bat, but if you sit with her for a moment she'll soon be rubbing up on you for pets.

You may notice in Gracie's pictures that there's quite a bit of fur missing from her. Gracie is a big girl, and her size prevented her from grooming herself properly. She had enough mats that, by the time she came to us they just had to be shaved off. Given time, her fur will grow out again and look beautiful once more! Please keep in mind, Gracie's future owner will need to assist her in grooming to make sure she doesn't get that bad again.

Gracie has never lives with other animals before, so we don't know how she would do with them. We also aren't sure how she is around children. Here, she's been very loving, but she likely won't appreciate siblings who are gonna run at her and can't respect her space. We recommend a meet and greet with any pets or kid in the home prior to adoption.

Gracie has been started on her vaccines and is ready to go into retirement in her final home! If you are interested in Gracie, call or stop by the shelter to meet her today!
