Meet Henry! Henry is a two year old Domestic Short Hair. This handsome fella is happy, outgoing, and mild mannered. He has an amazing personality and wants to be everyone's new best friend! He loves attention, and he is affectionate without being excessively needy or demanding. Henry enjoys exploring, being petted, and taking long cat naps. He has a very adorable and funny meow; his voice is pretty deep, and he does talk frequently. It's unique and special, just like he is!
Henry come to us as a stray, which means we don't know anything about his past. He was already neutered prior to arrival, so he obviously had somebody in his life at some point that cared for him. What happened and why remains a mystery. We just can't imagine why such a nice cat would have been abandoned. But we're certainly happy to have him here. He is a true joy to be around, and we hope he can find a better situation next time around, where he is loved and appreciated and provided with a forever home and family.
Because we have no history on this guy, we can't say for certain how he would do with others. He doesn't seem to have any reaction to the sight of the other cats in the shelter, though we have not done any direct testing face to face. Whether he has ever been around dogs is obviously also an unknown. We encourage potential adopters to bring any pets out to the shelter to introduce to Henry to ensure it's a great fit, though Henry is easy going enough that we also feel perfectly comfortable sending him out the door without any meet and greets. We think Henry will do fine around children for the same reason; with his laid back nature, he's probably not going to startle or get defensive very readily. We believe Henry would make a good fit in almost any type of home.
As mentioned, Henry is already fixed. He has also been given his first round of vaccinations and is litter box trained. So now he's up for adoption and ready for his next adventure! If interested in Henry, please call or stop by the shelter.
