Meet Homer!  Homer is a two year old Domestic Short Hair.  This handsome man is a sweet and affectionate kitty with a heart of gold.  He's an easy going fella who is eager to make new friends.  This happy little guy is inquisitive and friendly.  He is obviously blind, as you can tell from his photos.  He was diagnosed with glaucoma and is scheduled to have both eyes removed, as there is no other option at this point.  But Homer navigates very well, and aside from bumping into things from time to time, you almost couldn't even tell he is blind.  He is listed as special needs, but once he is familiar with his surroundings, this guy really needs no more unique care than any other cat requires.  Homer does need an owner committed to ensuring his safety until he learns his way around his new environment.  An indoor only home is a must of course.  And any other critters in the home must be welcoming so that no harm comes to him from them or any other source since he is somewhat defenseless in some aspects. Homer is a unique and amazing soul who needs an equally special individual to take him on.  If interested in Homer and think that you have what it takes to take in this happy, loving boy, call or stop by the shelter!
