Mid-February, a pregnant stray showed up at the shelter. She was super sweet, and we knew she was waiting to give birth until she had a safe place to stay. Shortly after taking her in, Katerina gave birth to 4 gorgeous kittens. Surprisingly, they were all females, and we quickly fell in love with the bunch.
Jo is very aptly named. Like the character, our Jo is a little spitfire. She's the most playful of the bunch, and we usually find her trying to convince her siblings to wrestle. Whenever people are in the maternity room, Jo is the first to climb up on them and beg for attention. She's a very active girl, and would love a family with the time to keep her entertained!
Having been born at the shelter, Jo has spent her whole life around people. She's used to being handled, and other than the occasional scratch (after all, she's still learning their own strength!) she has had no issues with us. Jo has already mastered the art of using the litterbox, and is ready to get out of the shelter! Jo has been around kids before and did well with them, but again, she may accidentally scratch and scare smaller children. We have not yet seen how she is around dogs, but being so young, she should adjust to new situations well.
