Is that the god of sea and earthquakes? Nope - just a kitten! Meet Poseidon!
Poseidon is an 8 week old Domestic Long Haired kitten. He was found as a stray inside of Hays, and sadly no one came looking for him. He is now ready for a kingdom of his own to rule!
When Poseidon first arrived at the shelter, he had quite the stormy personality. He wasn't the biggest fan of being messed with, and liked to show us just how tough he can be. It was all a facade, though, and once you picked him up he'd soon be purring! Now that we've added him to our kitten room so he has buddies to play with, he's done a complete 180. He can't get enough of the attention, and wants to be in the center of everyone's mind. Please be prepared, though, that as he adjusts to your home, he may be scared for a bit. He's a little guy, and moving can be stressful, so be patient as he gets used to his new environment.
Poseidon now lives in our kitten room with plenty of friends, and gets along great with them. We have not yet seen how he acts around dogs, and he may be overwhelmed by energetic ones that can't respect his space. We also haven't really seen him around kids, and as always, children should be supervised around new pets until they have a chance to get used to their new siblings.
Poseidon is so adorable, we don't think it'll take long for someone to snatch him up! He's received his first round of vaccinations and is officially ready to go to his forever home. Don't wait - come and meet our Poseidon today!
