Meet Rue! The sweet and shy girl is a spayed female, 7 year old, Domestic Shorthair cat. She's a true gentle soul with a heart of gold, and she's looking for her forever home!
We unfortunately don't know much about Rue's past. She came to us as a stray, and we were able to find out that her previous owner had passed away and no one could take their cat in. Sadly, this led to Rue being brought to the shelter, but she is making the best out of it! Even in such a scary place, Rue has stayed so sweet with all of us. She can be a little shy, preferring to sit in her kennel and watch all of the action go by, but if you sit with her she will be rubbing up on you for attention in no time!
Since Rue was a stray, we don't know if she's lived with other animals before. She hasn't seemed to mind other cats that she's passed by, but we haven't yet introduced her to any. We also haven't seen how Rue is around kids. She's been so gentle and affectionate with us that we don't think she would mind kids as long as they can respect her space. We always recommend a meet and greet with any pets or kids in the home prior to adoption so you can be sure it is a good fit!
