Meet Sammy!
Sammy is a male Domestic Long Hair cat. He is neutered and we believe he is around 13 years old.
Sammy has come to HSHP to no fault of his own. Unfortunately, his mom has moved into the nursing home and he could not make the trip with her. So he is here at HSHP looking for a retirement home of his own!
Sammy was an indoor/outdoor cat at his previous home and he loved to adventure outside. He did have a cat door that he could use at his own convivence, however we would strongly suggest not letting him venture outside yet for a while until he becomes accustomed to his new surroundings.
We do know that Sammy has lived around other cats and some dogs before. He does fine with other cats and does like some dogs, though not all of them. We think he would do best in a home with calmer dogs.
Sammy has not been around many children before and while we are not entirely sure how she will do with them, he is pretty chill and would probably do fine with them.
Sammy is on the older side for a cat and we do want adopters who understand that he is entering his senior years. He is still perfectly healthy though and does not have any special medical needs.
Sammy has been started on his vaccines and is using a litter box great! He is now ready to go off to his forever home!
