Meet Star! Star is a four month old Domestic Short Hair. Star is here through no fault of her own and has never had a true home; she was taken in as a stray, but her previous caretaker did not have enough time to devote to her. So little miss gorgeous landed here with us! This little lady is so sweet and gentle, though she is a bit skittish in new environments/with new people. Once you've earned her trust though, she wants to be your best buddy. Star is active and playful and would benefit most from a family who has time to spend interacting with her. She loves quality time, whether that be watching Netflix with you or pouncing on a lazar light. She just needs someone patient enough to let this shy kitty grow comfortable on her own terms, come out of her shell, and truly blossom!
Star has been around children of all ages and did well with them. Parents would just need to be mindful to ensure that any kids are behaving respectfully toward her, since she will be nervous initially. As long as little ones are handling her appropriately (not getting in her face, pulling her tail, being rough, etc.), we expect her to adjust well enough. She has also been around other cats before and did good with them also. Dogs are an unknown at this point, though Star is young enough to most likely accept a dog.
Star has had her first round of vaccinations and is litter box trained as well. That means now she's officially up for adoption and ready to get the heck outta this noisy place! If interested in Star, stop by the shelter and see if it's a match! Or give us a call with any questions.
