Meet Thomas, our sweet little tom cat!
Thomas was found as a stray at the Grainfield Rest Stop in Gove County. A kind stranger heard he was needing help, so she drove from out of town to go rescue him and bring him safely to us. Now, while he's been very sweet, Thomas is a shy boy. He prefers to stay in his kennel and observe. He lets us pet him and is starting to enjoy it, but it scares him if someone just grabs at him. Patience will be key to earning this cat's trust!
Since Thomas was a stray, we don't know much about his history. We haven't tested him with other animals, so we recommend a meet and greet with any pets in the home before adopting. We also haven't seen how he is around kids. As previously mentioned, he hasn't been aggressive to us at all, but it does freak him out if someone just grabs at him. We don't think Thomas would do well in a home with kids that can't respect his personal space, at least until he gets comfortable.
Thomas has received his first round of vaccinations. He is also already litter box trained. If you are ready to open your home to this sweet and gentle soul, then stop by and meet Thomas today!
