I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Haizlee

I'm Available

**Haizlee is scheduled to be spayed on September 2nd. If all goes well with surgery she will be available to adopt on September 3rd at 1 p.m. **

Meet Haizlee! Haizlee is an almost 1 year old, female, Domestic Shorthair. After having a rough start at the shelter, this girl is slowly but surely learning to trust and will soon be ready for a forever home.

Haizlee first came to us as a very pregnant and very scared stray. She hadn't had much human interaction before coming here, and was pretty overwhelmed in this new environment. Even with her being so scared, though, she has never been outright aggressive with us or tried to attack. She tends to run away and hide, and at most would hiss at us if we pushed her boundaries. Shortly after coming here, Haizlee gave birth to four gorgeous kittens (our 50s Rockin' litter) who are also searching for their forever homes! She's never minded us handling her kittens, and is content to let us mess with them and give her a much-needed break.

Pretty quickly we discovered the key to Haizlee's heart - some nice wet food! After she got used to us bringing her treats every day, she warmed up a lot quicker. She still gets spooked if you grab at her too quickly, but she will rub up on us for love and let us handle her. It just takes some extra time to gain her trust, but believe us - it is well worth it!

We did hear from Haizlee's finder that she was around another adult cat before coming here and they got along well, but we have not seen her around animals here except for her kittens. We believe she would do fine with other cats as long as they are introduced properly, but big dogs that are going to get in her face might be too much. We also don't think Haizlee would be a good fit for a home with small children that are going to grab at her and not respect her boundaries. We always recommend the whole family, including animals, come out for a meet and greet before adopting to ensure it is a good fit.

Haizlee has received her first round of vaccinations and is litter box trained. Soon, she will be looking for her perfect forever home! If you think that could be you, stop by and meet her today!
