Did you think the shelter was running low on kittens? Well, think again, because we have a new litter going up for adoption!
Chinchilla is one of the girls of the litter. An 8 week old Domestic Shorthair kitten, she is ready to get out of the shelter and into a loving forever home!
This litter of "rodent" kittens got their names in honor of one of their brothers. At just a couple of weeks old, this tiny kitten came into the shelter and looked just like an opposum, so we named him just that! Sadly, Opposum was dealing with a health condition and wasn't able to make it. Shortly after losing him, though, the person that had found him as a stray was able to locate the rest of the litter and brought them to us. Now, we have his siblings and are ready to turn this tragedy into a triumph by making sure they get the homes they deserve.
This litter have been with us for a couple of weeks already, and as such are totally used to humans. They're what you would expect of 8 week old kittens, and are active, playful, and social. Every morning we're greeted by their mews as they wait for us to open the kennel and let them run some energy out! They love attention as well, and have a knack for getting in your way when you're trying to be productive. Whoever taken these kittens home will certainly need to be prepared for lots of fun times!
Chinchilla has received her first round of vaccinations and will soon be ready to go off on her next adventure. If you think this girl could be the kitten for you, get ready to meet her!
