Meet Summer! Summer is a four and a half year old spayed female Domestic Short Haired cat. She is an absolute lovebug that is hoping to meet her forever family very soon!
This poor soul came to us when her owner determined that he didn't have enough time to devote to her care. She was surrendered to us alongside a fur-sibling, Autumn, who has her own listing here on our website. When she first met us, Summer was pretty reserved. The shelter is a loud and very stressful place, and it took some time for Summer to feel comfortable. Given a couple of days, though, she has warms up to a very affectionate cat! Now when anyone's in the cat room, she is so excited, and meows for all of the attention. She loves to rub up on you and be a part of what you're doing. Be prepared for her to be nervous when she goes to her new home, and keep in mind that it may take a few days for her to warm up again.
Summer has been around dogs, cats, and children and did well with them all. We do want to stress though that she would be best paired with mellow personalities and might not appreciate kids or other furry siblings who get in her face or who won't leave her alone if she doesn't wish to interact. Again, it will likely take a bit for Summer to adjust to the move, and she will just ask for patience as she learns her new normal. We always recommend a meet and greet with any pets or kids in the home before adopting. Summer is oh-so-sweet, and she just needs a patient owner who is willing to allow her to adjust at her own pace. Anyone who does that will have a trusted friend for life in this lady!
Summer is litter box trained, already spayed, and has been given her first round of vaccinations. Now all she needs is her forever home and family! If interested in this lovely little creature, stop by the shelter to meet her, or give us a call for more information.
